Claus Gielisch, who holds a degree in law, joined the company management in 1986. He managed the company together with his father, Carl Gielisch until 1990, when he was appointed as Chief Executive Officer. At the operational business level, Claus Gielisch handles fine-art claims in his capacity as a publicly appointed and sworn expert in the assessment and evaluation of damages to contemporary art objects. He assesses damages to art works for clients in the insurance industry around the world. Engaging in arts and cultural activities also forms part of his private life.

In September 2018, Ralf Radermacher joins the management of C. Gielisch GmbH as the company's Managing Director. He has been consulting companies, most of them owner-run family businesses, across various industries for almost 30 years, assuming roles as their board member or managing director. Before that, he worked in the auditing, tax consultancy and management consultancy sectors for 10 years, following his graduation from business school at Cologne University.


Ralf Radermacher and his partner live in Düsseldorf and Bergisch Gladbach.

Claas Peitz was appointed Managing Director of C. Gielisch GmbH in March 2024. In his role as M.D., he oversees the company’s business operations. With over 20 years of experience in claims handling, Claas Peitz brings extensive expertise to the role. A trained lawyer and attorney, he initially worked for five years at our subsidiary, Gielisch Claims Management GmbH (GCM). In 2003, he joined C. Gielisch GmbH in Düsseldorf as a claims specialist, and later became Head of the International Department in Düsseldorf. Claas Peitz also assumed leadership of the Western Division of the Marine Claims Team for two years. In addition to marine claims, he handles product liability claims, personal injury claims, major losses, and special claims.
